Commerce has been a core program at the University of Toronto since 1920, so it's no wonder that we have one of the deepest and most accomplished alumni networks of any Canadian undergraduate business program. Among our alumni are CEOs, CFOs, CAOs, Presidents, VPs, Directors, and Managers of some of the world's most successful firms. We're also proud to count entrepreneurs, public servants and elected officials, musicians, actors, writers, and everyone in between among our graduates.

The mentorship program allowed me to meet a recent graduate with several years of work experience. My mentor was able to answer all of my questions surrounding my education and my career opportunities. I gained many insights about the industries my mentor worked in, which helped me with forming my personal career goals.

Year after year, hundreds of our alumni come back to campus to help our students reach their personal and professional goals. If you're looking for advice from someone who has been in your shoes, you can rest assured that our alumni are eager to support you - as mentors, guest speakers and lecturers, panelists and competition judges, and corporate representatives.

Alumni Mentorship Program

The largest program of its kind at U of T, our year-long alumni mentorship program matches over 200 students with alumni mentors who support them in career and academic planning.

Alumni-Student Events

Throughout the year there are dozens of opportunities for our students to connect with our grads in different industries and in different forums. Our Career Centre regularly brings in alumni from a variety of industries to help students hone their career skills, particularly with respect to interviewing and networking. Many grads also come back to campus to work with our student organizations as alumni advisors, guest speakers, panelists, and workshop leaders on our many student-run conferences. And we hold a number of formal and informal speaking events, such as our Leadership in Business speaker series and our Alumni Coffee Breaks, that allow alumni from a variety of industries and professions to share their business knowledge and career advice with our students.
